A small studio,
working slowly
Galelux is a small studio. We make one thing.
Galelux is a small studio. We make one thing: small warm lamps, set by hand from natural stone, for the slow hours at the edges of a day. They are made for the slow hours at the edges of a day, the ones the rest of the world tends to forget.
We started in 2024, after a few years of returning to the same idea: that the right object, in the right corner of a room, can change how the room feels. A salt lamp on a friend's bedside. A piece of selenite catching late light on a windowsill. Small warm shapes we kept coming back to, until we decided to make them properly.
The studio works the same way each time. A shape is sketched. A stone is sourced. The piece is set by hand and finished by hand. There is one workshop, and there are a small number of people in it. Nothing is rushed; nothing is duplicated. Each lamp leaves the studio with the small variations only a hand can give it.
We design for the slowest hour of your day, the one after the rooms have quieted, before sleep, when a small warm thing on a bedside or a desk is the only light you want. Not bright enough to work by. Bright enough to be a kindness.
Galelux is for slower rooms, softer evenings, and the quiet parts of you.
How a small idea
became a small studio

A returning idea
A Himalayan salt lamp on a friend's bedside. A piece of selenite catching late light on a windowsill. We kept noticing the same thing — that a small warm object, in the right corner of a room, could change how the whole room felt.

Sketches, on the back of meeting notes
We began drawing what a quieter lamp could look like. Cube. Spire. Orb. Made from the stones themselves, not props around a bulb. The shapes we kept coming back to.

2024
Galelux begins
One workshop, a small number of people. A simple brief — stone and warm light, nothing else. No gadget features. No notifications. A lamp that does one thing well, for the last hour of the day.

2025
First prototypes
The first cube was set on a kitchen table at midnight. The first orb was sanded by hand the next morning. We sat on the floor in the dark, watching one small warm shape change the way a room felt.

The first collection
Mosaic Cube, Glow Spire, Glow Orb — the three shapes we kept coming back to. Made slowly, for the slow hours, and for the people you would like to give a slow hour to.
The best gifts are the ones
that get used quietly,
every day
For the partner who works late. For the friend going through something hard. For the parent you cannot see often enough. A Galelux lamp will sit on a bedside table and glow each evening, a small, warm way of saying I am still thinking of you.
